Discovery Health Pulls Plastic Surgery Show

  Due to the controversy that the death of Donda West is creating, the Discovery Health cable network has pulled the series “Plastic Surgery: Before and After" from its lineup. This move followed when the host of the aforementioned show performed cosmetic surgery on the mother of Kanye West before she died.

  58-year-old Donda West died Saturday at a Los Angeles hospital from what the early reports alleged as ‘complications of surgery.’ However, an official cause of death will be made after pending further tests that may take six or eight weeks to complete.

  Dr. Jan Adams, has been the host of “Plastic Surgery” for five years until its final episode which aired in June this year. Reruns of the show have been done since then but Adams has already been out of the network since the production ended.

  Discovery Health spokesperson Chris Finnegan issued a statement that the network has made a decision to remove four episodes of the series which are scheduled to be aired this week. It is still unclear whether the network will resume rerunning the show or not.

  "We're just trying to be as sensitive as possible to everyone involved," Finnegan told The Associated Press.

  Dr. Adams also issued a statement through his spokesman that he indeed performed a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Donda West. However, he insists that that West's death the next day was not caused by the surgery, says TMZ.
