Dr. Man’s Space-lift

A facelift is supposed to erase years off a person’s face, thereby making him/her look a lot younger than his/her age. It is not supposed to make one look different, as what is usually the case. The lines are minimized, but the output somehow looks unnatural. This is primarily the reason why many others are still reluctant to have facelifts, though they are open to go under the knife. The results aren’t as convincing as they want them to be.

Luckily, plastic surgeon Daniel Man invented a new procedure that would serve as a good alternative to a facelift surgery, without worrying about the “changed” look. He calls it the space-lift.

    49ABCNews delivers the goods.

"A regular incision would be in here and then would go somewhere on here, but her incision goes inside the ear totally and then comes behind the ear in here,” he (Dr. Man) said.

It’s done endoscopically. Small incisions are made and tiny instruments are used to lift the muscle under the skin, even the ears are pulled up.

"The incision is minimal, but the results are maximum,” Man said.

A space-lift offers the same result as a facelift but with minimal scarring and swelling. It also gives a more natural look; something that plastic surgery patients have always been waiting for.
