Dr. Michael Sachs wrote the textbook Mastering Revision Rhinoplasty, hailed as the "atlas of revision rhinoplasty." In the said work, the renowned Manhattan-based surgeon described the various rhinoplasty techniques he has invented and developed.
Springer.com announced the release of the landmark textbook:
Mastering Revision Rhinoplasty demonstrates how to repair a previous surgery and perhaps just as importantly, how to modify and refine one’s primary rhinoplasty techniques in order to minimize the incidence of failed primary rhinoplasty.
In his practice, Dr. Sachs uses advanced rhinoplasty surgery techniques to create impressive changes to his patients’ noses. The surgeon is famous for his technique in primary rhinoplasty called Finesse Sculpting Rhinoplasty, a procedure that reshapes the nose without breaking bones.
For secondary rhinoplasty, Dr. Sachs developed Enbucrilate a breakthrough glue material used for repair of severely damaged noses.
For dorsal augmentation, Dr. Sachs developed the Tissue Clay Rhinoplasty. The procedure uses microfibrillar collagen (Avitene) combined immediately before the operation with autogenous whole blood, forming "tissue clay," the material sculpted into the desired dorsal contour. After one week the tissue clay solidifies and resembles a bone. The aesthetic and functional results in successful cases were deemed excellent, safe, and effective.
Another nose surgery technique patented by Dr. Sachs is the Titanium Rhinoplasty, a procedure that uses titanium to repair a bad nose.
Dr. Michael Sachs, M.D. received the distinction of being named one of only two New York City surgeons in Martin Mayer’s book "New York: Metropolis of the American Dream." The celebrated surgeon has also appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Vouge, Bazaar, Elle, and Cosmopolitan Magazine, among many others.
