One of America’s best cosmetic nose surgeons, Dr. Moore, shares his expertise in rhinoplasty surgery. In a press release he made for American Chronicle, Dr. Moore stressed that rhinoplasty is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures out there that can be performed in a surgeon’s office as an outpatient surgery and only takes at most two hours to complete.

Moore says that he has mastered the technique of minimizing scars from the procedure. His rhinoplasty techniques are the most gentle in the industry, and more often than not, what you usually see on TV or on YouTube are more brutal that what the operation has to be. His new techniques help in minimizing bleeding, scarring, bruising, swelling, and pain during and after the surgery. This will help it easier for the body to heal itself, and all surgical discomforts will be virtually gone within a week or so.

Patients can choose to be asleep or awake during the procedure. If you choose the former, you will be administered a general anesthetic, while the latter requires only a local anesthetic. Moore claims that either way, pain is virtually absent during the operation.

Moore explains how the procedure is done:

The incisions made during Rhinoplasty are either very small or even made inside the nose. We then "resculpt" your nose to the size and shape that you want. The idea is to achieve symmetry and balance with the other features of your face. Your nose should be a harmonious part of the overall look of your face. It no longer needs to stand out as something that’s too small, too big, crooked, or injured.

Moore also gives warning to those who are interested in getting a nose job. Patients must make sure that they are choosing the best surgeon for such procedure. Checking the surgeon’s credentials and background is definitely crucial to the success of the operation. The surgeon should be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Aside from the credentials, it is also beneficial to look for surgeons that are passionate about their field. And Moore says that if your surgeon is not equally passionate about rhinoplasty, you should keep looking.
