Everybody's penchant for furthering external refinement is not about to abate. If the new cosmetic surgery procedure is any indication, no one vain enough is willing to give it up.

One of the more famous surgeons at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Andrew Jacono, M.D., F.A.C.S. pioneered the 'Reverse Neck Lift’ -- a breakthrough cosmetic surgery procedure that offers redemption from poorly executed face and neck lifts.  This development was introduced to the public at the 9th International Symposium of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

The Reverse Neck Lift is performed through a hidden incision on the undersurface of the chin. Unlike in a regular facelift, the incision lines are placed opposite the ear area. The neck skin is henceforth tightened, an enhancement if anything. Those with turkey gobbler necks need not fret - the slated minimal healing time for this is three to five days.

Probably as a reciprocation to the ever elusive perfection sought by patients concerned, the new procedure is a minimally invasive face lift surgery technique that mitigates hanging neck skin and "cobra neck deformity".

Apparently, reparative follow-up work is increasingly becoming prevalent in facial plastic surgery. Dr. Jacono's Reverse Neck Lift is seen to raise the bar in revision work to either repair or refine work performed by another surgeon, demand for which is escalating. Per recent Wall Street Journal / Harris Interactive Health-Care Poll, one out of 10 of patients are said to report experiencing medical conditions that required follow-up as a result of cosmetic surgery they received.
