Women now choose to have lower brows

  American plastic surgeons declare Jennifer Connelly as the one sporting the best eyebrow shape of the moment. This announcement has paved the way for women to make a sudden shift. According to a recent survey in a cosmetic surgery magazine, women are not opting for lower brows instead of the more arched eyebrows that became popular years ago.

  Jennifer Connelly’s brow is said to curve lower over the eye, reaching peak height two-thirds of the way along. This is considered to produce a very nice effect on the appearance of the entire eyes. Indeed, Connelly’s eyes are one of her best assets.

  Before, high-arched eyebrows were the ones women are trying so hard to possess. Their highest point is in the middle of the eye and this gives a somewhat quizzical, wide-eyed look.

  A research published in the journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has this to say:

  "Great diversity exists among individuals with respect to eyebrow position and shape and the notion of an 'ideal' shape has changed quite significantly over the past several decades.

  "Young people up to 29 years of age judge arched eyebrows to be unattractive and prefer the lower positioned eyebrow with a maximum in the lateral third.

  "Because trends are generally introduced by young people and not by older individuals, it seems plausible to assume that the trend currently appears to be moving away from arched eyebrows."

  Cosmetic surgeons believe that the high eyebrow which was popularized by Hollywood stars of the 1930s and 40s could now disappear forever because of this profound change of taste.
